Key
Responsibilities:
Setup and Breakdown:
Prepare event spaces before they begin and clean up afterward.
This includes arranging furniture, setting up decorations, and ensuring the venue is presentable.
Guest Assistance:
Greet guests as they arrive, provide directions, answer questions, and assist with any issues or concerns they may have during the event.
Registration and Check-In:
Manage the registration process, check guests in, distribute badges or tickets, and ensure that attendees have everything they need for the event.
Vendor Coordination:
Assist vendors with setup, communicate their needs to event organizers, and provide support throughout the event as necessary.
Technical Support:
Assist with AV equipment, lighting, sound systems, and other technical aspects of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Safety and Security:
Monitor the event space for any safety hazards or security concerns, and take appropriate action to address them.
This may include crowd management and emergency response procedures.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to attendees, exhibitors, and other staff members to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Cleanup:
After the event, help with clearing out the venue, disposing of trash, and returning rented equipment to vendors as needed.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other event staff members, volunteers, and organizers to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
A friendly and approachable demeanor to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
Physical strength and stamina to lift and move furniture, equipment, and materials (50-100 pounds).
The ability to work efficiently and effectively on your feet for extended periods.
Willingness to follow event set-up guidelines and adhere to safety procedures.
Hourly Rate:
$14 - $18 This is a contract position, and the hourly rate will depend on experience and performance.
