What's a typical day as an Buyer / Maintenance Planner? You'll be:
o Planning and scheduling all required maintenance actions to optimize manufacturing down days.
o Acting as the Maintenance SAP Superuser.
o Ordering and organizing parts and maintaining parts inventories.
o Administering all aspects of the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to achieve maximum preventive maintenance efficiencies.
o Entering, reporting, and analyzing data to manage equipment downtime and mitigate unplanned equipment failure.
o Developing, reviewing, and improving preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
o Monitoring plant downtime statistics and reports to formulate appropriate preventive maintenance activities.
o Overseeing all storeroom activities, including purchasing, receiving, record-keeping, and dispensing parts and materials.
o Maintaining an optimal level of spare parts inventory to support manufacturing and preventative maintenance goals.
o Providing project and administrative support for plant personnel, accounting, audits, vendors, and other operations as requested.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
o Have technical school training or 3-4 years of facility maintenance experience.
o Possess adequate craft knowledge to estimate man hours and materials needed.
o Have experience working with SAP (preferred).
o Have 3-4 years of work experience in manufacturing.
o Are proficient in Microsoft Office.
o Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Can effectively manage time and prioritize workload to meet deadlines under pressure.
o Are self-motivated, proactive, and organized.
